about sandi
Sandi's prior career was in health care, working as a phlebotomist. After the birth of her daughter, Sandi knew she had to find a way to stay home with her sweet little girl! Sandi spent her early days of motherhood snuggling with her baby and also making baby clothing. A business was born! When Sandi realized that people would pay money for custom made children's clothing she started selling her garments online under the label, Portabellopixie. Sandi's love affair with fabric only grew and eventually she decided to pursue fabric design. After quickly securing a contract with Michael Miller Fabrics, Sandi debuted Ginger Blossom and followed up with Farmers Market. Both collections have done exceptionally well and will start showing up on other mediums soon. Having fabric of her own to design with has only made Sandi's enjoyment of designing clothing stronger and she recently debuted her first collection of sewing patterns under the same name of Portabellopixie. Sandi's patterns are easy to understand and fun to use. Sandi's ideas and brand have been accepted happily by the ever growing crafting and sewing generation and she couldn't be more flattered or thrilled. "I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with my family and do what I have always loved. Everybody should be so lucky to make a living doing what they enjoy. Thank you so much for the support!" -Sandi Sandi lives in Southeastern Idaho with her wonderfully supportive husband Dustin and their two children, Eliza and Ethan. |
